Can we bring/use a go-pro camera in the parks? I know that we cannot use our selfie sticks. I am questioning using the go-pro with the body or head harness. Thank you!

Hi Nanette! The Walt Disney world parks did indeed ban the selfie sticks due to guests using them and blocking views of other guests. It was also deemed a safety hazard as many rides are fast and they could become projectiles if the guest lost control.

The Small Go-Pro cameras have been discussed many times. As of this date you can use them using the wrist strap or body/head straps. But some attractions will state that no photography is allowed and cast members will ask you to take them off. If the cast member feels the ride is going to be too rough for a head cam strap then they will not permit that. The chest straps and wrist straps will work but remember unless you are in the front of a ride vehicle you might not get decent footage of anything except the seat in front of you.

Disney can change the rules at any time regarding these cameras. Take time to look at the list of Restricted Personal Items so you are prepared for your upcoming vacation. I am sure you will go home with some wonderful memories on pictures!
