We are bringing our 3 yr and 6 yr old to WDW for the first time. We are staying at the Boardwalk Inn. I was wondering if the Water view is worth the extra money for our stay?

Hi, Alexandra!  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I stayed at Disney's BoardWalk Inn last year and had a fabulous time.

A water view is absolutely beautiful, I can see why you might want to upgrade.  And if you do upgrade, know you will love it.  However, my family never pays extra just for a view.  We just aren't in our rooms long enough to justify the extra expense.  We are basically in our rooms to sleep and it all pretty much looks the same with the lights off.  I always try to think of what I would do with the extra money I would pay for a view.  Would it delight my daughter more to have a makeover at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or one more character meal?  Experiences are more important to us than a view from a room we are barely in. However, if we vacationed differently where we spent a lot of time at the resort, I would feel differently.  I would base the decision on just how much you will be in the room enjoying the view.

I hope this helps make your decision a little bit easier.  Have a magical day.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
