Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Candice. I'm so glad you've stopped by with your question for us.
Prior to your trip, I suggest taking time to check out the
Attractions page on the Disneyland Resort website. You'll be able to see all the attractions at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. You can filter by age, interest, thrill type and read a brief description about each ride.
I'll share some of my son's favorite attractions at each park. In Disneyland Park, he LOVES Hyperspace Mountain since he's a big Star Wars fan, flying through London and Neverland in Peter Pan's Flight, and we love defeating Zurg together in Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters. He has recently started to enjoy Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Indiana Jones Adventure (but my son is 9 years old). He finds Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean entertaining. Mickey's Toontown is a fun spot to explore, and so is Tarzan's Treehouse. My little guy finds Haunted Mansion too dark and scary, but he absolutely loves seeing Jack Skellington and Zero during Haunted Mansion Holiday, available from Halloween time through the Holiday season.
While at Disney California Adventure Park, some can't-miss attractions are Radiator Springs Racers, Goofy's Sky School, Toy Story Midway Mania!, and Soarin' Around the World. Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is a neat place to explore. We have lots of fun as a family traversing rope bridges and discovering our Spirit Animals! On a hot day, cool off by riding Grizzly River Rapids! Don't worry, complimentary lockers (up to 2 hours) are available for you to store your belongings so they don't get soaked.
I hope this information is helpful as you continue to plan your magical trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, Candice. Please visit us on the Panel again if you have more questions.
Sending you Pixie Dust,
Kiki
