I am bringing my 6yr old son to Disney. I am going to Magic Kingdom & Animal Kingdom. My question, were is the best place to say & how easy is it to get to both parks from the hotel. I was thinking of saying at Animal Kingdom but what is the $ diff

    Hi Erica!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is the closest resort hotel to Disney's Animal Kingdom, and can be reached by bus from the hotel.  The actual bus ride itself takes approximately 18 minutes, but please remember there will be additional time spent waiting for the bus (they usually run every 20 minutes).

There are several other resort hotels that are closer to the Magic Kingdom park, and each resort has it's own charm and special theming, and there is something to suit everyone's taste.  These are Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Resort, and Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort.  Some of he Magic Kingdom resorts are also located on the monorail link, and offer a boat service too, which can make travelling around easier, and gives you easy access to the Magic Kingdom park. All the resort hotels I have listed are in the Deluxe category, and will give you a wonderful vacation experience.

I would recommend you have a look at the Walt Disney World website for full details of the accommodation available, and if you have any further specific questions, please come back and send me a direct question(s) - I would be very happy to help you plan your magical vacation.
