I will be bringing my 1yr old to Disney in Dec, I am unsure about whether to bring a stroller and car seat, or rent in park? This will be my first trip to Disney wth a small child. Help!

Hi Chrissy! Traveling with an infant is always a little more difficult but it will be such fun when you head to Walt Disney World!

Disney does indeed offer Stroller Rental but those strollers must remain in each park. I feel with a one year old you would still want to have something to use going to and from parks and around your resort and certainly anywhere else on property. For that age child the park strollers are not as comfortable and safe and would strongly suggest you bring your own from home. If you have several to choose from bring the one that folds up easily as all strollers must be folded when on the Disney transportation buses. They may remain open on monorails and some boats. If your stroller has the option of laying flat where the child can nap while you are in the park that is important too. Make sure there is a cover for shade and look to pick up a small portable fan to clip on the side.

If this seems too hard to travel with your own stroller then check out the above site and look at the recommended local stroller rental companies that work with Disney. You can check out the brands that they offer and perhaps choose to rent through them. They will drop off and pick up at your resort making this very easy for you. You will then have the stroller to use during your entire stay.
