Hi Casie, Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is my favorite hotel at WDW. Please try a dessert that is called Zebra Dome, it’s my favorite too. You can buy then at The Mara and eat those delicious treat at your room. To Downtown Disney, buses departure only from the resorts. Since The BOATHOUSE is such an incredible experience and assuming that you don’t want to miss it, my advice for you is that you must leave your hotel about 5:30 p.m., Can’t wait to try The BOATHOUSE next October and planning on have that giant dessert called Baked Alaska with my family.
