Hi Rick,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I can imagine how excited your son will be when he arrives to greet some of his favorite characters!
The happy news is that you have a few options. You can certainly bring your own supplies. I have done so in years past - just packed a suitcase full of supplies and snacks. We were flying an airline with no charge for our checked bag, however, so consider the checked bag fees if choosing this option. Another option would be to order from Garden Grocer. Take a few minutes to review their site and check prices. Finally, you could ship the items to your resort hotel. Just review the information with
Mail Services to determine how you need to label your packages when shipping. Resort hotels also have gift shops that stock a few items, but those are typically limited and in small quantities. So, I advise you to try one of the first three options.
I just returned from a wonderful stay at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. This is my favorite moderate resort hotel. And, this was my first time in one of the royal guest rooms. They are gorgeous! The resort grounds are so relaxing, the food court area had good options and the pools are lovely. During our stay, the transportation was also good and the resort staff was great. Having stayed at Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter, I can say that both resort hotels are quite special.
Rick, since I am always on a budget, I would actually do some price comparison to see which option would be the better value. If you are driving, it may be easiest and cheapest to bring the supplies with you or stop by a store along the way!
Happy planning!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
