Hi! We are bringing our 2 year old to Magic Kingdom for her first time this weekend! Any advice on how to make it a 1st timers experience truly magical? I know they have a pin that she can wear, anything else??

    Hi Jamy,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am afraid that this answer might not reach you in time for your trip, but wanted to respond because your question is such an excellent one!

Yes, first visit buttons are an excellent way to celebrate your daughter's first visit. When we have worn celebratory buttons in the past, cast members have been diligent about celebrating with us. Be sure to make a dining reservation for a character meal. Hollywood & Vine has a number of different Disney Junior characters that she might recognize - our girls are big fans of Doc McStuffins!

Also be sure to make Fast Pass+ selections for rides. I would suggest Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan's Flight, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin and Mad Tea Party. If she is a princess fan, then you definitely have to meet some of her favorite Disney Princesses at the Walt Disney World Resort. On our last visit we did a pre-park opening breakfast at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, rode Frozen Ever After and visited with Anna and Elsa at Royal Sommerhus. We could have stayed in beautiful Arendelle forever.

Jamy, both Epcot and Animal Kingdom have lively musical experiences that little ones enjoy. We love the Voices of Liberty in Epcot and the Swotu Wayä Na'vi Drum Ceremony on Pandora. Music is Disney magic.

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
