. We are bringing our 4 year old grand daughter for her first time in Disney World. This visit may be my last as I am in poor health and would like to make this special for her.

    Hi Norris! Welcome to planDisney!

Thanks for bringing such a great question to us! You will have a special trip with your granddaughter in just a few days and I can't help but smile as I think about all the magical memories that will be made. I'm honored to be a small part of the planning of it!

The first thing I recommend is that you purchase Memory Maker for capturing these precious moments! If you purchase it at least three days in advance you will save money on it and I can tell you that it is SO worth it. To make it extra special for your granddaughter (and everyone in your party!), ask if the PhotoPass photographers have any "Magic Shots." If they do, they will have you strike a certain pose that may not make much sense to you, but when you see your captured photos you will understand why! There will be special touches and surprises!

When you arrive, ask for a "First Visit" button (pin). This is a great souvenir for your family that can be cherished forever and it is complimentary! Both of my kids still have their pins from their first visit and love to hear stories from that trip.

A fun extra touch to add to any dining reservations that you have is a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake. You can view a list of all participating restaurants at the link I included above and you can ask for one when you check in for your dining reservation. They are delicious and add a little "pixie dust" to an already special visit!

I hope this gives you a few ideas for your vacation, Norris! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
