We're bringing our 5 and 1 year old to Disney's parks on June. I was wondering for that age, between Epcot and Animal kingdom, which park will be more recommended?

    Hi Francisco!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

I think children of that age would love Disney's Animal Kingdom more, especially if they are not used to seeing exotic animals like tigers, giraffes, and elephants.  If they are used to going to a zoo all of the time, then perhaps not.  There are two wonderful shows that are great for the whole family:  Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo - The Musical.  Be sure to watch both if you decide to go to Animal Kingdom.

However, you may enjoy Epcot more.  Epcot is a favorite of many adults and thus I recommend going to Epcot instead.  Your 5 year old will likely enjoy several attractions in the Future World portion of the park, especially in the Seas with Nemo and Friends Pavilion.  Older children, such as pre-teens, might get bored in the World Showcase half of Epcot, but young children usually don't complain.  Your 1 year old will obviously have fun no matter where you go.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
