We are bringing our 6yo DS for his 2nd visit to Disney 11/12-19 (his bday is during the trip). Is MVMCP worth the extra $$. I'm getting conflicting reports from friends and wanted your advice.

    Hi Judy!

If you have never been to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, and your budget allows it, then I recommend going.  That said, however, your son might be too young to really enjoy the party.  That's because the party doesn't even start until 7pm which is pretty late for young children.

The party offers a special Christmas parade and a fireworks show.  There are also special Character meet and greets and shows.  The show in front of the Castle is a lot of fun and worth seeing.  The attractions will also have less of a line than during the day, but I recommend not doing the attractions until you've done all of the other special events at the party.

A lot of guests really enjoy the party while others would recommend saving the money.  I think each panelist on the Moms Panel would recommend going to the party, but that's more based on our love for Disney than from an economic viewpoint.  If you think you can keep your child up and in the Magic Kingdom until at least 10 pm, then I suggest giving it a try!
