Welcome back to planDisney, Terry! I'm so glad to hear you are planning another visit to
The Most Magical Place on Earth!
I am a huge fan of
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness! My family has made many wonderful memories there over the years. The amenities are some of the best in all of Walt Disney World! A standard campsite has a 10-by-25-foot concrete pad for your vehicle and equipment. Your tents can be set up in the adjacent area, often referred to as a sandy tent pad, but it is actually coquina. This space at most sites is approximately 14 feet wide, but the length varies greatly, depending on the site. My advice is to call
Walt Disney World Tickets and Hotel Reservations and have a Cast Member note the dimensions of your tents on your reservation.
Since you'll be visiting during spooky season, I suggest you consider a night at
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This is a special ticketed event that includes exclusive entertainment, attraction overlays, and trick-or-treating! You'll have the opportunity to meet rare characters or old favorites in their Halloween costumes. My favorite experience of the night is
Mickey's Boo-to-You Parade, where the Headless Horseman leads the way! Your party ticket allows you entrance to
Magic Kingdom Park at 4 pm, so I like to sleep in, enjoy a slower morning at the
Meadow Swimmin' Pool, and then head to the party in the afternoon. Since it is a limited-access event, you can typically enjoy lower wait times.
Terry, that magical vacation will be here before you know it, so it's time to start getting excited! If there's a
nything else we can help with, please don't hesitate to ask!
Always dreaming -
Elizabeth
