Hi! We are bringing our toddler to Disney World for his 3ed birthday and he is 37in tall. We are concerned about what rides he will be able to go on, if he is close to the height requirement is there any room for parent judgement? Thanks

    Hi Stacy:

I have a five-year-old and a three-year-old and have been traveling to Walt Disney World with them since they were infants.

Our boys were so excited to finally grow to meet rides that require a 40 inch height requirement. Because the height restrictions are based on safety reasons, Cast Members have never let my children on rides where they didn't exactly meet the height requirement (even when my kids and I gave the Cast Members our best "sad" faces). Nor have I ever seen Cast Members make exceptions for any other Guests.

Check out the Magical Beginnings map for tips and locations of rides and attractions suitable for kids five and under at all four Disney World theme parks. Click on this link for a list of height requirements for rides and attractions throughout Walt Disney World.

Enjoy your vacation and Happy Birthday to your son. Remember to check in at City Hall at the Magic Kingdom, or at guest relations at other parks, and pick up a birthday button. Many Cast Members will go out of their way to wish your son a Happy Birthday or greet him with a kind gesture to make the visit more memorable.
