Hiya Janice,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so excited to help you plan your upcoming vacation to Walt Disney World Resort.
Janice, if there is one thing I know a lot about, it is strollers. I’m a mom of two under four, so I’ve spent a lot of time doing research on this particular topic. I had to do a little digging to learn more about service animals, but I’m happy to report that the guidelines are similar. You are permitted to bring a stroller for your service animal, but it must comply with the stroller guidelines in the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules (no more than 31” wide and 52” long). Any stroller bigger than this, even if it is for a service animal, will not be permitted. Additionally, you cannot bring in any stroller wagons, and your dog must remain leashed even when resting in the stroller.
I hope this was helpful, Janice. If you are new to bringing a service animal to Walt Disney World Resort, I highly recommend checking out the
Services for Guests with Service Animals page on the website. While researching your question, I learned so much from this page, and it really is an incredible resource. You can find out all the locations of relief areas at each of the theme parks and also start planning your itinerary by taking into consideration what attractions are good for your service animal and which ones they may not be able to ride on. As you are preparing for your trip, please come back and see
us. We would love to help you make your vacation as magical as possible.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
