Hi, We are bringing a stroller for our 4 year old but may need to use it for our 8 year old who suffers "hypoglycemia". She is unable to maintain suger levels resulting in extreme fatigue. Would we be entitle to use our stroller as a wheel chair

    Hi Helen ~

Planning ahead for a child with any type of special challenge is always a wise thing to do when traveling to Disney World.

You are welcome to use your stroller as a wheelchair in the parks for you daughter. In order to be able to take the stroller in attractions or in queues, you will need to visit a theme park Guest Relations location and request a red band that will indicate to Cast Members that she is using her stroller as a wheelchair. Be sure to put it on a handle so that it is clearly visible for Cast Members. If you feel that your daughter will not need it at some attractions, you can park the stroller in a designated stroller parking area located nearest the attraction.

I know from first hand experience that it is very easy to get so busy at Disney World that you forget to eat smaller meals at regular intervals. I often think I'll do one more thing and then get something to eat. Then I get so caught up in the fun until I find my blood sugar at rock bottom. Be sure to keep some snacks on hand in the parks in case your daughter needs one. This will be faster than waiting in a line. There are healthy options such as fresh fruit or yogurt at many quick service food locations.

Keep in mind that there are First Aid locations in every theme park and water park in case your daughter needs assistance.

Please feel free to visit us again with all of your planning questions. We are hEAR for you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
