Hi. I am bringing my sons (almost 2 and 4) for our first family vacation in sept. and wondering what are the best dining options for them? want to have a blast, but not overwhelm them, will they be overwhelmed if we mostly do character dinners?

    Hi Jeshanah!

One of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World is character dining!  My son (3), who has been visiting since he was a baby, loves when his favorite pals stop by our table during our meals.  Not only is it convenient for them to come to you when you are dining, it saves time from standing in line for a meet and greet in the parks.

I know some kids around this age are a bit difficult to keep entertained and pleasant at dinner.  Character dining, for us, has been a huge hit because our kids are excited to see Mickey and friends, so they tend to be on their best behavior.

I don't think having mostly character meals will be too overwhelming for your children and it's a great way to spend your first visit to Walt Disney World.

Character dining does book up fast, so be sure to make your reservations ahead of time online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.

    Have a magical day!
