Hi MaryAnn,
You are going to Walt Disney World at one of my favorite times of year! The weather is starting to cool off, and crowds are lower. I do have a couple of recommendations for you.
First, consider going to
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. At this special event, you can trick-or-treat around the Magic Kingdom, see the amazing "Boo-to-You" Halloween parade, and enjoy the fabulous Happy HalloWishes fireworks show. This event is taking place on October 27, 29, and 31, as well as November 1 when you are there. This is an event which requires separate admission, and it can sell out, so be sure to get your tickets soon if you want to go.
You will also be at Walt Disney World during the
Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. This event includes many food kiosks placed around World Showcase Lagoon in Epcot, where you can purchase and sample foods from many countries. My 8-year-old daughter enjoys trying new foods here each year, and has discovered some new tastes that she loves at this event! Admission to the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is included in your theme park admission; however, the food at the kiosks is additional.
You asked about dining for that week. I recommend that whatever dining you and your family would like, make those reservations as soon as you can by calling 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463) or using the
Disney dining site online. It may seem far away now, but dining experiences can fill up fast, so be sure to secure your spot at the ones that you want.
I hope that this information is helpful, MaryAnn! Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
