I am bringing my son (11yrs) to DIsney for the 1st time and have tried to book at reservation at Planet hollywood for both of us and they are fully booked. Will I be able to get a table if I visit the restuarant directly

    Hi Claire,

There are often last minute cancellations, so it is possible that you could make a reservation on the morning you'd like to dine.  It's also possible that you could walk up to the restaurant and get in without a reservation.  However, you may have to wait quite a while for a table.  I know last time we tried to get in without a reservation, the wait was going to be over an hour.

I think it's worth a try if it's some place that you really want to dine, but I recommend having a quick service back up plan in case the wait is too long or you can't get in.  Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck Express both serve really great food.  For dessert, head to Goofy's Candy Company for a sweet treat.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
