I am bringing my son and three of his friends to Disney World in October to celebrate their 13th birthdays...what special thing, I mean REALLY SPECIAL thing is there for me to do for them???

    Hi Cari!

Wow!  What an awesome thing to do!  I can't think of a better way to celebrate than at Walt Disney World!

Now, I notice you are from Colorado?  So, I've thought of something that may be a novel experience for your teens...(Yikes!  Did you realize that they are turning into TEENAGERS???!!!):   SURFING LESSONS!

Typhoon Lagoon has a 'really gnarly' Surf Pool that has up to 6 foot waves, and offers Surf Lessons on select days.  Times vary by season and are subject to change, but the classes are generally offered prior to Park Opening, and last for 2.5 hours.  They must have a parent or guardian's permission if they are under the age of 18.

For more information on the Learn to Surf program at Typhoon Lagoon, call (407) WDW-PLAY or (407) 939-7529, or email WDPRSurfingPrograms@email.disney.com, or just click HERE.

I hope this idea qualifies as "REALLY SPECIAL", and that they have a Humunga Cowabunga Birthday Time in Walt Disney World!
