I am bringing my son and one of his friends to WDW July 3rd thru the 6th. They are both 17. Do you have any tips on visiting over the 4th? Also, events geared to their ages. Thanks!

What a great time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. The parks all look so lovely and patriotic. Make a point of visiting the Magic Kingdom on Independence Day. Main Street U.S.A. will be all decorated with red white and blue bunting and you will all feel a bit more patriotic on this special day. I would watch the flag lowering ceremony on Main Street. The kids will appreciate the importance of this occasion. I would also visit the Hall of Presidents on this American day. If you can, take them to the American Experience in Epcot at the World Pavilion. Get there early to enjoy the lovely singing of the Voices of Liberty. These singers and the songs they choose will make you smile and appreciate this great country of ours. One last tip, the parks are going to be very crowded so be sure to arrive early and be patient. It will be a day you will not forget at the Happiest Place on Earth. Have a great vacation and I will see you at the parks.

As a Los Angeles native I basically grew up at Disneyland. It has always been so easy to take my family on the short drive to the Happiest Place on Earth. Watching my daughters make magical memories reminds me why I keep coming back. Learn More About Ari
