Hi Dawn! I just answered another question from a guest regarding having to make a choice of only three parks during their Disney vacation.
The
Magic Kingdom Theme Park is a must for most guests. This park offers so many attractions and opportunities and it is what Disney seems to be about. With the parades and shows each day you can spend hours here and never do something twice.
When choosing between the other three parks it will become more difficult. If your son loves Star Wars then
Disney's Hollywood Studios can offer some wonderful meet and greets and of course the great Star Tours attraction. The only down side to this park is that so many things are now closed due to the construction of the upcoming Star Wars land and more. It isn't a full day visit at this time but you can head back to your resort to swim and return for fireworks.
The
Epcot Theme Park will be a must for Test Track and Soarin attractions.Your son will likely want to ride Test Track over and over if he can. The other attractions here are amazing and not to be missed as well.
The
Animal Kingdom Theme Park is wonderful but if your son is not as interested in animals then you can save this park for a later visit. It is indeed one of my favorite places but animals are important to me so I don't miss it on my visits. The other added draw here is that this park is now open in the evenings.
I don't envy our decision but suggest you leave it up to your son to research and pick his top three parks. All four offer so much and letting him help plan will assure you a great trip for all.
