I am bringing a small group to the parks. I see international tour groups with small flags but all sorts of flagpoles are banned from the parks according to the WDW website. What kind of flagpole can I use for my group (if any)?

    Hi Aaron,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! Your vacation is so soon, has the countdown started yet?

Aaron, you’re right, according to the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, flags and banners aren’t allowed in the Theme Parks.

If you’re looking for a way for the guests in your party to spot you, you could definitely get a bit creative. Maybe instead of having a backpack that blends in, you use one that has a fun design or different color to it. You could also use this same concept with your apparel, maybe a fun hat that you can wave in the air so your guests can spot you in a crowd.

Keep in mind that as you gather your group, you’ll want to do so away from main walkways so the flow of traffic continues for other guests. If you’re waiting for your party to come off a ride or attraction, I suggest coming up with a designated meeting spot before they go to the attraction. This way everyone knows where to meet up after and you can make sure everyone is present before heading off to your next destination!

I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you make the final preparations for your Walt Disney World Resort trip. If you have any other planning or vacation questions, please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
