    We are bringing our Princess for her 5th birthdayand have booked a lunch at Ankershus House. We are going early October. The question: they say several princesses come, is it completely random or is there a method to getting my daughter's favorite princess

    Hi Mark!

    What fun it is to celebrate a birthday at Walt Disney World! I love celebrations at Walt Disney World and am busy planning my youngest child's 5th birthday celebration too.

    Mark you have chosen very well for your Princess's celebratory lunch!  Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is one of my favorite ways to visit the Princesses. After you check in at the restaurant you will be taken to a queue for a complimentary photo with a princess. Next you will be escorted to your royal table and once seated your server will explain the menu and the cold buffet. The princesses will circulate to each table during the course of your meal.  The princesses have a specific pattern in which they follow in order to greet each guest personally. All you have to do is prepare your camera, get out your autograph book, and dine in air conditioned comfort of the medieval castle! The Guests at your table will meet all of the Princesses during the course of your meal.

    Since your Princess will be having a photo taken with and meeting many other princesses, it is a good idea for you to bring your daughter's her favorite princess dress to this restaurant.  She will definitely feel like a visiting princess during her lunch.

    Mark another thing that I also like to do for my birthday child is order a specialty cake to be delivered to our table during our celebration meal.  Follow this link for Birthday Celebrations at Walt Disney World and scroll down until you find the category of "Specialty Cakes".
