    I will be bringing my own mobility vehicle into Animal Kingdom. Are there places to recharge the battery if needed while I am there?

    Hi Janet! Although I have never used an ECV myself I know of many friends who have had to rent one for their Walt Disney World vacation. The parks are large and indeed guests will be doing a lot of walking when touring and enjoying their surroundings.

    Although there are no official charging locations you can ask at Guest Relations when you arrive to the best possible places in case you need to recharge. Most will tell you it is unlikely that you will need to recharge during a park day but you never know. If your scooter stops ask the nearest cast member for assistance. If you get a wide eyed look just keep asking or ask for a manager.

    The Animal Kingdom Theme Park covers a lot of area and so it means a lot of walking. An ECV is a good solution for the guests who can't handle all the walking. Since you are bringing your own ECV with you please check the battery before you come. Make sure you have a new or a battery that is holding its charge and if so hopefully you won't have to take time off to do a recharge during the day. Many guests who need to will try to ask a restaurant for a plug where they can park the ECV next to while they eat. This solves the problem easily without losing time out from having fun.
