I am bringing my niece to disneyland on 1/18. She is a massive elsa fan and wants to meet her. Is there a chance she will be at disneyland park or is the meet and greet only in california adventures?

    Welcome to planDisney, Amrita!

The pixie-dusted countdown to your day in the parks is nearing the end! You must be starting to feel the buzz of the magic with just a few short days until your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.

The first Disney princess movie that stole my (now) tween daughter's heart was Frozen, so I know how deep the love for Anna and Elsa can run. That being said, when we finally met these frozen friends, it is clear that I was the most excited, possibly bordering on starstruck. I wish I could wave my own magic wand here, Amrita, and make your niece's wish come true, but you are correct that the meet and greet with Elsa and Anna is currently only at California Adventure Park. I so wish I had better news for you! Anna & Elsa's Royal Welcome is located inside the Disney Animation building and is truly a one-of-a-kind character experience.

I don't know if a Park Hopper ticket is a possibility for you, but you can explore this upgrade ahead of your visit right in the Disneyland Mobile App. A Park Hopper would allow you to hop to California Adventure after 11:00 a.m. on your park day and continue to bounce between parks until closing. To take a look at your options, simply navigate to the "three-lines" icon in the bottom right-hand corner and select "Tickets & Passes". You should see the option to "Change Ticket". From here, you would select the tickets you'd like to change, and the next page will present you with the options available to you. If you see "Ticket Type", this is where you could see pricing for an upgrade to a hopper. You can explore in here without making any official changes. Alternatively, if you have specific questions, feel free to call the friendly Cast Members in Guest Services before you head to the park.

I can understand that an upgrade may not be in the cards for everyone, so I'd love to give some recommendations on how to add a Frozen touch to your day at Disneyland Park. The first would be to have your niece feel like Elsa herself. You could consider booking an appointment at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique where your niece could experience her own royal transformation. There are several packages to chose from depending on what works for your princess. We have done both the Castle Package, which is a make-over from head to toe, and also the simpler Carriage Package with a dress we wore from home. I can tell you that my daughter left feeling every bit like a princess both times.

If you're looking for a more low-key dose of magic, head to Fairy Tale Treasures to chose an Elsa-inspired keepsake or accessory. On one trip, my daughter selected Elsa light-up heels, which she dutifully wore for the entire day, truly feeling like she had stepped into those royal shoes. With this touch of magic, you can head to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and ask for a dose of pixie dust. This is free of charge for Guests of all ages - I highly recommend getting a dose for yourself!

    I hope this was helpful!

    Wishing you a magical day,
    Tara
