Welcome to planDisney, Dedra.
We are incredibly happy to hear from you, and I hope that I can provide some useful information for you and your party. I hope that you’re all getting really excited to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth.
I especially hope that your mother-in-law has a wonderful trip. When I was traveling with my grandmother, who was going through chemotherapy, we loved matching our outfits and enjoying good food! If your mother-in-law has any needs during her visit, be sure your party knows where the
First Aid locations are at all of the theme parks — the Cast Members there are so helpful, and it’s also a good place to get cool and get a cup of water if needed.
As for your mother-in-law’s Fairy Godmother dress, I really hope that she can wear it! It sounds absolutely beautiful! The theme park guidelines (for a typical, non-event day at Magic Kingdom) state that adults cannot wear costumes or articles of clothing that drag on or touch the ground. Please look at the
Park Dress Guidelines for further guidance on this matter, Dedra. As long as your mother-in-law’s dress does not appear to be a full-on costume (and does not touch the ground) she should be okay. We just want to make sure that no little Guests will mistake her for the real Fairy Godmother that sometimes wanders through the parks.
If you have additional questions, Dedra, please feel free to visit us again at planDisney, and we will do our very best to help you further.
Have a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!
Allyn
