We are bringing our 16 month and 4 1/2 year old this November and wondering can snacks be brought into the parks? trying to figure out if we need the dining pass. Also, any secrets on getting into the wilderness lodge dinner special. it is still booked!

    Hi Donald!
Of course you can! Snacks are going to make your vacation smoother because children with empty stomachs are usually unhappy. We usually bring water bottles, crackers and cereal to entertain the kids while we wait in long lines. Keep in mind that glass bottles, glass containers, alcohol and rolling coolers are not permitted in the theme parks.
There are many opinions about the Dining Plan amongst the Moms Panelists. Some believe it's a great value and others don't consider it a good deal. I think this decision will depend on your family's dining habits at the Walt Disney World Resort. My family enjoys a schedule with a lot of sit down meals so the Dining Plan is a good value for us.
When trying to book a reservation for a restaurant that's full, the best advice I can give you is to keep calling every day, preferably early in the morning, to see if you can take advantage of anyone else's cancellation. If this doesn't work, try calling or showing up at the restaurant to see if there's anything available.
I hope you get your reservation and have a magical vacation!
