I am bringing my 16 month old to magic kingdom but now I’m wondering if Hollywood studios would of been better he’s a huge Mickey Mouse fan live Mickey Mouse club he’s 14 months now and not walking and I’m leaving the husband behind I’m so nervous

    Hi Brandi,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question.

First things first, please don’t be nervous! There are few other vacation destinations that are as well designed for a mama and her little guy to have fun at Walt Disney World Resort. I’m sure you’ll be fine, even if you’re going to be visiting alone.

Even if your little guy is a big Mickey fan, I’d still recommend sticking with your initial plan to visit Magic Kingdom Park with him during your upcoming visit. Aside from Disney Junior - Live on Stage! I don’t find that there are as many attractions for really little ones at Disney’s Hollywood Studios beyond that show and a few meet and greets with some Disney Junior Characters, especially when compared to Magic Kingdom Park. Your little guy will be able to get his Mickey fix at places like Meet Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theatre

Finally, we had a wonderful vacation when we visited with our little guy when he was about the same age (and still not walking), so I would definitely recommend bringing a good stroller and visiting the Baby Care Centers whenever you and your little guy need a bit of a break.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions about traveling with your son!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne

Hi, I’m Lynne from Montreal, Quebec, Canada! I’m a working mom who enjoys snuggles with my son and my husband, who has been my sweetheart since 1997. We’ve been lucky enough to experience several milestones in Walt Disney World, including our wedding and honeymoon in 2009. As Disney Vacation Club members, we often plan trips for large, and sometimes even multi-generational, groups to come and enjoy the fun with us. Learn More About Lynne
