Bringing my 17 month old to Disney for the first time next week! I've been planning for months, and her two favorite Disney characters are Mike Wazowski and Moana. Unfortunately it looks like neither is doing meet and greets anymore. Tips, tricks?

Hello, Alicia! Ohhhh I love bringing babies to Walt Disney World Resort. There is no place like it for REAL magic and getting them on all sorts of attractions. It’s so much fun (meaning that you’re still getting in a decent nap either in your Resort Hotel Room or the Baby Care Center!).

I’m still waiting to hear if Moana will return. My kids would adore singing “Where You Are” with her, so I hope she returns soon. Keep your ears and eyes on the Disney Parks Blog for the first news of her return. As far as Mike Wazowski, there are only two places I know of that you can experience him. One is during the Monsters Inc Dance Party, taking place only at night during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Since you are visiting much sooner than that party is taking place, you may want to visit the Monster’s Inc Laugh Floor in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland. Mike has some killer jokes that you can even help write!

Lastly, you may want to make serious use of your Memory Maker by hunting down a Disney PhotoPass photographer at the entrance to the Pixar area in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you request a Magic Shot, there is a chance you may see Mike on your PhotoPass photos, if he’s not busy harvesting laughter around the park.

I hope that you and your family have a blast, and experience a little magic on your trip to excite your imagination. ~ Lindsey P.
