Hi We are bringing our 7 month old daughter to Disney world in October 2017. She suffers from hip dysphasia and has to wear a harness and lay flat for most of the day. Are we able to queue for rides with her pram so she can lie flat until the ride? X

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Suzanne ~

I am so happy to see that you are planning ahead for your daughter. I have a son who has had to wear braces for the same reason so I understand the challenges that you are facing.

In order to use your daughter's pram while you are waiting in queues, you will need to stop by Guest Relations with your daughter as you enter the first theme park during your stay at the Walt Disney World Resort. Let the Cast Member know that your daughter will need to use her pram (stroller) as a wheelchair. They will give you a red band to go on the pram. You only have to stop by Guest Relations once and they will put a date on the red band indicating that it is good throughout your stay.

The red band will alert Cast Members at the entrance of each attraction that your daughter is using her pram as a wheelchair and they will allow you to bring it into the queues. Be sure to put the red band on the handle of her pram so that it is easy for Cast Members to see but it doesn't interfere with the way you hold the handles or fold the pram.

When you board an attraction, a Cast Member will assist you to let you know where to leave the pram and where it will be when you are finished. There are some attractions where the loading and unloading areas are different.

The weather in Orlando in October is usually still pretty hot so I'd recommend that you bring a fan that clips to the pram to give your daughter some air circulation and help keep her cool. If you forget, they do sell the clip on fans in the parks. Lying flat in a hot pram can be very uncomfortable so be sure to give her breaks from her pram.

Please feel free to visit with all of your questions. We are hEAR for you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
