We are bringing my mom (grandma) on our upcoming trip to WDW. She is not big eater and we are not doing the dining plan. If we were to visit a buffet (we love the one at Boma!), could she order a la carte (an appetizer or two) rather than the full buffet?

    Hi, Andrea!

Because Boma - Flavors of Africa in the Animal Kingdom Lodge is a buffet location, a la carte options are not available. Your mom would be charged for a full buffet regardless of her food choices at the buffet line.

The good news is that Boma offers a huge range of options at dinner with soups, salads, entrees and sides galore to choose from. The breakfast menu is a bit unique, so check it over before deciding between breakfast and dinner. Hopefully she will find plenty to enjoy during this dining experience.

Plan some extra time to explore the beautiful Animal Kingdom Lodge before or after your meal. It is amazing!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
