I will be bringing my 10mo to the Harmony Barber Shop in Jan-Feb16 for his 1st haircut. Will they have a special chair for him, or will I be holding him? Also,I highly doubt he will have much hair to cut - this will be more ceremonial. Is that okay? Thanks!

    Bonjour Mireille,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question. I have such fond memories of my son's first haircut at 13 months old at Harmony Barber Shop, and it's always a pleasure to re-live them when Guests ask us questions about that hidden Magic Kingdom gem!

I can confirm that they do have a special chair insert for your little guy so that you don't have to hold him in your lap. They also have plenty of toys and other distractions in case he doesn't love getting his hair cut... My son didn't make a peep at Harmony, but he LOATHES getting his hair cut at home. It's why I actually try to get his hair cut there whenever we go on vacation - they just have a pixie-dusted touch when it comes to little ones!

Finally, my son's nickname with some of my friends was "Mr. Clean" or "Baldy" when he was a baby... and not much was different at 13 months. Don't worry if the haircut is more ceremonial than anything else. It will still be a wonderful memory. Please don't forget to make a reservation beforehand to lock in the time that you'd like for your son's haircut!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
