Bringing my kiddos in March/April. What is the best way to get them noticed by the characters and staff? This is a surprise family trip. Mom,Dad,Grandma and the kids. Also Grandmas first visit in 28 years. I really want this to be MAGICAL for them. Thanks!

Hi Courtney and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Traveling to the Walt Disney World Resort with a grandparent is the best idea EVER! We toured the parks with our grandson this last summer and it was a dream come true.

In my experience, most Cast Members and Characters treat all Guests like special guests and you can expect plenty of natural interaction. If the kids are dressed like princesses or princes, expect at least a few bows and  the random curtsy to the young royals. Also, if you are celebrating anything at all, pick up an "I'm Celebrating!" button from guest services. These usually catch Cast Members eyes. Another option to consider is a Character Dining Experience. Not only will you enjoy some delicious food, some of your favorite Characters stop by your table for hugs, autographs and pictures.

You can see some of my best tips for traveling with multiple generations when you view the attached video.  I hope this helps with your planning.

    See ya real soon!

I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures. Learn More About Anne
