Hi Rozlynn,
Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. One of my favorite things about the accommodations at the Disney Vacation Club resorts is the full kitchen that comes in a one-bedroom or larger villa. I agree with you that it can help to save money to prepare some meals in the villa, and we also find that it helps to save us time. In the mornings we get up, fix ourselves a quick breakfast, and head right out into the Disney theme parks!
There are some grocery stores fairly close to Walt Disney World that are easy to get to if you have a car. If you do not have a car, you would probably need to take a taxi to these grocery stores. There are some options for having groceries delivered to your villa, which I think are great options for getting groceries at Walt Disney World.
If you are a Disney Vacation Club member, you can have groceries delivered through Disney Vacation Club. To do so, visit the
Disney Vacation Club member website. Select the tab for "Vacation Planning" and choose "Pre-Arrival Checklist." From this screen, scroll down to "Order Groceries" and select the resort at which you will be staying. Please note that you will need to print out and fill in this form and fax or mail it back so that it arrives at least three business days before your arrival at your resort. Another option, if you are not a Disney Vacation Club member, is to order from an unofficial grocery site such as Garden Grocer at gardengrocer.com, or We Go Shop at wegoshop.com. These companies will grocery shop for you and deliver your groceries to your resort.
I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Rozlynn. Have a great time planning your vacation, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
