Hello, I am bringing a group of 17 public educators this summer and would love help figuring out the cheapest and best way to plan for a large party. Are there any discounts for educators or large groups? Also, can teachers sign up for leadership classes?

Hi Brandi! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by to ask this great question.

Fellow public educator here! When school's out for summer, The Happiest Place on Earth is where I want to be! I bet going with other teachers would be so fun! Who wouldn't want to take leadership classes from Mickey Mouse?! It sounds like you're ready to start planning, so let me help point you in the right direction. Disney Meetings & Events is the best place to start when planning large group events at Disney. You can contact a Disneyland Resort representative at (714) 520-7025, or submit a request form based on the type of experience you're planning. With a group of your size, I can't speak for what discounts, if any, you might be eligible for but this will be a good starting point. You might also consider reaching out to one of the Good Neighbor Hotels for a possible discount on a block of rooms.

For leadership classes, there will be a different point of contact, Disney Institute. It looks like they already have some leadership classes scheduled for this summer in June, July, & August at the Disneyland Resort. There are options for group rates of 10 or more participants. You can call (321) 939-4600 to find out more or submit this contact form.

I have been lucky to have traveled with large groups at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. My best tip is to make sure everyone downloads the Disneyland Mobile app before arriving to have quick and easy access to their Theme Park Tickets. The app is also handy for checking attraction wait times, viewing menus for dining, and much more!

I hope this information helps with your planning. If you have more questions, please stop by planDisney again. We can't wait for you to be our guest, and we would love to help!

Wishing you magic & a great rest of your school year!
