We are bringing a group of 38. 6 families and us(grandma and grandpa) We are all linked but I know we need to break into smaller groups in order to book Genie+ and ILL How do we do that? It was easier with 31 when it was the old fast pass system.

Hello there, Sherrie! Your wish is our command here at planDisney, and I'm happy to help work out the magical details for your trip!

The beloved FastPass+ has been rebranded; Disney Genie+ service allows guests to bypass the standby line, utilizing the Lightning Lane entrances. There are over 50 Genie+ Lightning Lane attractions and experiences across the four parks. There are some similarities with the former system, but there are also a few differences that you'll want to be aware of.

First, when it comes to big groups, you will need to appoint what I call "Team Leads." While you'll want to ensure your whole group is connected through Family & Friends, you can only book Genie+ Lightning Lanes for up to 12 guests. Having four Team Leads for your group is ideal. Designate ahead of time which guests are with each Lead.

You can purchase Disney Genie+ in your My Disney Experience app as early as midnight EST on the day of your park entry; however, as long as the Team Leads buy it for their designated guests before 7:00 AM, you'll be fine. They will click the button that says "Get Disney Genie+ Service" and then add the guests they want to purchase it for (you'll be able to select anyone in your Friends & Family List).

The Leads should meet in the morning to discuss strategy since they will make their initial Genie+ selections at 7:00 AM. They can make one reservation at a time throughout the day. Once the original time window is redeemed, or it's been 120 minutes since making the most recent reservation, the Leads can make another selection up until park closing. I like to set the alarm on my phone to remind me.

With your large group, it's possible that you may experience difficulty or glitches, especially when trying to find return windows for the exact same times. If this occurs, don't stress. Once you arrive at the park, head to the Guest Experience Team, located in every theme park under the blue umbrellas.

Sherrie, I know this can be an overwhelming topic, but we're always here to help. Just rub that planDisney magic lamp again to summon us!
