Heigh-Ho Angela!
Wow, what a wonderful surprise for everyone! You must be a great secret keeper. We have 7 in our family, so making last-minute dining reservations can be a title tricky, but we have never been disappointed. Sometimes if weren't able to get our first choice, we tried something new, and it became a favorite we never knew we were looking for.
I would suggest to keep checking the
Disney Dining page for dining reservations. Plans change all the time, so I would narrow your search to only include Character Dining if that's what you want. Do a general time search for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and the reservations system will show you any available times.
Also, be flexible with your restaurant options and times. Try a restaurant at a Disney Resort hotel near the theme park you are visiting that day. If you are not able to secure a reservation in advance, there is still an opportunity for a walk-up reservation. My family was able to dine at Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort for breakfast and The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom Park for dinner without an advance reservation on our last Disney vacation.
Try off-peak times to increase your chances, such as a late breakfast, late lunch, or early dinner. There are many wonderful Character Dining locations at the Walt Disney World Resort to choose from. Wishing you lots of pixie dust on finding your practically perfect Character Dining reservation.
