I am bringing my grandsons to WDW in January. They are 4&3. This is the first visit for the 3 year old. I would appreciate any information regarding any special "first time" character experiences, pins?

    Hi Lori,

Welcome! My first recommendation is to map out your Disney vacation through the following planning pages: Grandparents + Grandkids = A Grand Adventure and Planning for Pre-School Kids & Little Ones. These are filled with tips, advice, suitable attractions and so much more! They are simply designed to fill your family's Disney vacation with the true Power of Magic!

Be sure to pick up a "1st Visit" button for your youngest grandson. These can be obtained from Guest Relations and Disney Resort hotels. He will receive many awesome comments from Cast Members and even Guests too. I also recommend visiting The Chapeau at Magic Kingdom Park to get him a first Disney ear hat. It's quite possible that pixie dust and magic will follow him throughout his first visit!

My youngest really loved meeting Chewbacca at Star Wars Launch Bay and Rafiki at Rafiki's Planet Watch. There are several other Character Experiences your grandsons might enjoy too. Also, consider booking one of the fabulous Character Dining restaurants. These provide a great way for your family to interact with Disney Characters. One of my family's favorites is Chef Mickey's.

I hope this information was useful, Lori. Please visit us again soon with more Disney vacation planning questions.

People describe my love for Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Cruise Line as intoxicating and contagious! My family fell in love with the Disney Magic aboard our first Disney cruise with Captain Mickey in 2006. I personally love to spread pixie dust, as I truly enjoy sharing my Disney experience with everyone! Learn More About Ritzy
