Hi Tammy,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you have an exciting trip planned for your grandsons! Your travel time will depend on the wait times at each transportation hub. Although your plan is feasible, it could take an hour and a half or more depending on the crowds. I would estimate that it will take 25-30 minutes to bus from Disney's All Star Music Resort to Magic Kingdom, 15-20 minutes to ride the monorail to Epcot, and another 15-20 minutes to ride the bus or take a water taxi to the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel for your reservation at Garden Grove. You could also walk from Epcot to the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel. To be on the safe side, you could always allot more time to get to your dining reservation.
If you have other dining reservations, riding the monorail might be an easier option to one of those.
Chef Mickey's, for example, is in the Contemporary Resort. If you rode the bus to Magic Kingdom, you could then ride the monorail to the Contemporary. The Contemporary is the first stop once you leave Magic Kingdom on the
Resort Monorail line. Also consider your arrival time at the resort. If you arrive later than 3:00 p.m on the day of your 6:00 p.m. Garden Grove reservation, you might be pressed for time to get checked into the resort and on your way to dinner.
Since this is going to be an unforgettable trip for your all, have you considered
Memory Maker? We find it to be an excellent value since it gives us access to all of our photos taken with
Disney PhotoPass Photographers.
Happy Planning!
