Hi BobbiJo,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Yes, of course you must celebrate this very special birthday with your grandson! Life is far too short - we have to celebrate while we have the chance.
You can certainly
order a special cake from the Walt Disney World Resort and have it delivered to a restaurant. The Mickey Mouse cakes are super cute and yummy. Just check the list of participating restaurants to see if they deliver to the character meal you plan to visit. The Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's are two of our girls' favorite character meals. If your grandson is walking, he might like to get in line for the Pooh-rade in honor of Friendship Day at The Crystal Palace.
If you want to have a special surprise delivered to the resort room, try ordering from
Disney Floral & Gifts. Just know that at his age, he might have more fun with the paper than the actual gift! Also, be sure to note his birthday on your reservation. On our last visit, we celebrated my husband's birthday and were given window tables at three of the restaurants where we dined. Watching the
Happily Ever After Fireworks show from the
California Grill was amazing, as always.
BobbiJo, take lots of pictures. With our little ones, every moment counts!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
