We are bringing our grandkids for a 1st trip to Disney on June 1st for 7 days. I do not know how to get started planning. I have booked several restaurants. We are staying at the cabins at Fort Wilderness. Can you help me start my planning to the parks

    Hi Tammy,

It sounds like you are a Disney planning pro in the making!  The Cabins at Fort Wilderness are among my family's absolute favorite accommodations.  Be sure to allocate some time to enjoy your resort, as there are many fantastic activities and special events at the Fort.  My boys absolutely love the nightly campfire and sing-along, as well as watching the Electric Water Pageant float by!

With seven days, you'll have plenty of time to explore all four of Disney's theme parks, and, if you are interested, add in a visit to a water park or DisneyQuest at Downtown Disney.  I like to begin every trip at Magic Kingdom.  There's nothing quite like the sight of Cinderella Castle to get your family in the Disney spirit.  I would allocate two days of your trip to Magic Kingdom, two days to Epcot (one each for Future World and World Showcase), and one day each for Disney's Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.  This leaves an additional day to either return to your favorite park, or visit a water park or DisneyQuest (an indoor, virtual amusement park located at Downtown Disney.)

If you've already made dinner reservations, you may want to plan your park days around these, to minimize your travel time. For example, for days when you have reservations in resorts on the monorail line, you may want to be at Magic Kingdom or Epcot.

I hope some of my tips help!
