    Hi there, Brian!

I'm happy you came to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. As a parent of children with special needs, it’s reassuring to me to know that the Disneyland Resort is able to provide necessary and reasonable accommodations to permit all guests to enjoy the parks as safely and comfortably as possible. One of our children, in particular, had challenges with waiting in attraction lines. Over time, we developed strategies for helping our children cope. Our children have even progressed enough that they can visit an attraction on their own when our family separates for different activities.

Of course, every child is unique. And with that come unique needs. To help accommodate those needs, it is important to consult with a Cast Member at one of the main Guest Relations locations near the entrance of each park. These Cast Members are specially trained to provide guidance for utilizing the accommodations implemented by the Disneyland Resort for guests with disabilities. During the consultation, guests with particular needs that prevent waiting in a conventional queue may be enrolled in the Disability Access Service. Documentation is not required. Note that a photo of the disabled guest or a guardian will be taken as part of the enrollment process.

If seeking the most nutritional options while enjoying dining venues at the Disneyland Resort is important to you, you may be interested in the Disney Citizenship initiative. You’ll find information about the Disney Check program that provides guidance in making healthy eating selections. You will also be able to ask for nutritional information and special dietary accommodations at each dining location you visit to help out in menu selections and carbohydrate counting.

I hope you have a magical time, Brian.
