Hey Hilary!
I am thrilled to welcome you to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thank you for sending us your great question. I am sure your granddaughters have dubbed you “grandmother of the year” for planning a vacation to Walt Disney World Resort with them. I hope you are
ready for a grand adventure — Walt Disney World Resort is just as magical for grandparents as it is for little ones.
Hilary, I highly recommend having a stroller with you. My daughter is 5 and still uses hers regularly while at the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. The theme parks are very big, and with all the walking and excitement they experience at the theme parks, little Mouseketeers can tire easily. Strollers are the perfect place for them to rest, nap and snack. Even little ones need extra pixie dust sometimes! They also offer a great place for them to sit during parades and shows. The pixie dust can greatly diminish if you are with tired children who have no place to rest and relax their little feet.
You can either
rent a stroller (or double stroller) at Walt Disney World Resort, rent one through one of the
Disney Featured Providers or provide your own. If you take your own, please keep in mind that according to
Walt Disney World Resort park rules they must be no larger than 36" x 52" (92 x 132 cm). However, I’ve never found a regular, jogging, or double stroller to be outside of these dimensions and have never had any issues using our own full-sized stroller.
Hilary, I hope this helps! If you have any additional questions please visit us again.
Wishing you a Magical Vacation,
Priscila
