I am bringing my granddaughter and we are staying at the Wilderness Lodge and have an 8:00 am reservation at The Royal Table. I wondered how far or how long it would take us to get from the hotel to the castle. I want to make sure we leave in enough time.

    Hi Tracey:

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  It sounds like you have a very special trip planned for you and your granddaughter.  Although you are technically staying at one of the closer Walt Disney World Resorts to the Magic Kingdom, it may take a bit of time to get to your early morning dining reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table.  You have two options using Disney Transportation to reach your destination.  Your first would be to enjoy a boat ride from Disney's Wilderness Lodge followed by a short walk to Cinderella Castle.  Second, you could take a bus to Magic Kingdom.  Given the early reservation time, I would suggest leaving your Resort around an hour prior to your reservation, even slightly earlier depending on what time The Magic Kingdom is scheduled to open.  You don't want to get stuck in crowds and miss your reservation time.  If you are early, spend some time exploring the Theme Park, I would much rather be a little early as opposed to being late.

I hope you make magical memories at Walt Disney World Resort with your granddaughter Tracey.  Please let me know if you have any other questions, I would be happy to help.
