We are bringing our girls (twins 4, baby 1) for their first visit in Sept. and are staying in the Contemporary Tower-theme park view. Is this definitely a view of the castle? Also, any advice on where to request our room so we have less noise? Can't wait!

Hi, Aubrey! You are staying in my favorite resort with my very favorite view! And yes, you will be able to see Cinderella Castle with a theme-park view. When our kids were little like yours, we loved to book a room on that side of the Contemporary Tower. Usually, we would be up early, and therefore, we liked to put the kids to bed early, too. We would order take-out from the quick-service restaurant downstairs (now called The Contempo Cafe) and retire on the balcony to watch the fireworks over the castle and the Electrical Water Pageant as it sailed across Seven Seas Lagoon. (Make sure you inquire with the concierge about the station you tune into to get the fireworks' soundtrack in your room.) That was such a great feeling knowing that we were able to enjoy all that entertainment and not have to think about getting back to our resort afterward...we were already there!

As far as less noise, you will most likely enjoy a more peaceful stay the further away from the elevators and the higher the floor your room is located. To be on the safe side, you may want to inform the cast member who checks you in of your request. Of course, at any time, if noise becomes a problem for you, you can certainly request a different room. WDW Resorts -- and most especially The Contemporary -- are geared to making their guests happy. They want you to return again and again.
