I am bringing my Girl Scout troop and we are a group of 27. I have everyone on my Disney experience app. Will genie plus work the same as usual? Are there any tips to going to WDW with such a large group?

    Hiya, Cassidi! Welcome to planDisney!

As a former Girl Scout, first, let me say "Thank you!" for all you mean to these young ladies growing into leaders. One of my most cherished memories was marching in the parade with my Girl Scout Troop at Magic Kingdom Park. These moments last a lifetime.

The short answer to your question is "yes." Yes, you can use the My Disney Experience App to manage Genie+ for your group; however, I would recommend a few strategies.

You are off to a great start having everyone connected on your My Disney Experience app! 7 am is a special and busy time for trips to Walt Disney World Resort. If you are going to Magic Kingdom Park or EPCOT, I would try for a Virtual Queue for TRON Lifecycle / Run or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind as a whole group. Open the app and create your boarding group at least by 6:55 am to be ready for that 7:00 am app refresh in hopes of getting to enjoy these thrills.

For the rest of the day, I would recommend a divide-and-conquer strategy if you have other adult chaperones. What I have found: it's not trying to stay together for attractions that requires a lot of  management and takes extra time with large groups, it's the restroom breaks.

With your Scouts in smaller groups, you should make your first Genie+ Lightning Lane selection after trying for the Virtual Queue and before the theme park opens. Each group should select the attraction they consider their top priority. I usually try for the attractions that book quickly, like Slinky Dog Dash in Disney's Hollywood Studios and Test Track in EPCOT.

I would set a few times to meet throughout the day, such as lunch and dinner together. Knowing where you will meet, you can have the ladies review the menus while they are in line for an attraction. When it's time to eat, using mobile ordering on the app can make meals easy to organize.

There are great dining options throughout the parks, but some that come to mind as perfect for catching up with large groups include Sunshine Seasons in EPCOT; the dining area around Rosie's All-American Cafe in Hollywood Studios; and Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe in Magic Kingdom Park.

If you have any other questions about planning for your trip and all the adventures coming your way, please come back to planDisney.
