Hello, Christan,
Thank you for sending your question to planDisney. How wonderful that you are bringing your first grandchild to Walt Disney World! I'm so happy to think of all the memories you will start making together.
When you visit Walt Disney World, the park rules state that wagons are not allowed in the theme parks, water parks,
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, or the inside venues at the
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. However, you are welcome to bring a stroller that is no bigger than 31" (79 cm) in width and 52" (132 cm) in length.
Stroller Rentals are also available at the theme parks and Disney Springs. They can be rented daily or for your length-of-stay. Walt Disney World also works with the private company ScooterBug (the contact information is on the
Stroller Rental page) to rent strollers, too. For some guests, it is helpful to have a stroller outside the theme parks. I know from experience that when our sons were little we liked having a stroller at our resort especially at the end of the day when they often fell asleep.
Wishing you a magical trip! Please let us know if you have any further questions.
