Hi, I am bringing my family on a surprise trip to Orlando in February the party will consist of 4 adults and two children we are staying off site. Would Genie + and LL have to be done by each of us or could I book for us all. Thank you Sian

Howdy, there, Sian! Planning to surprise your family with a trip to Walt Disney World Resort? Reach for the sky! I love the way you vacation.

Last week, I had the chance to spend four days at Walt Disney World with friends. We had so much fun using Lightning Lanes and Virtual Queues for TRON Lifecycle / Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. With the My Disney Experience App, it is so easy to connect and manage planning to make sure no toy gets left behind.

Since you are surprising your family, you will want to wait to do this, but it is easy and quick so no worries.

To arrange Genie+ selections, each adult in your group will need a My Disney Experience account with their tickets linked.

To connect, open the My Disney Experience App and select "≡" from the bottom corner. Scroll to "Disney Account." Open "Profile" and you will see two tabs: "My Profile" and "Family & Friends List." Select "+ Add a Guest."

To add a child, you will need their name and birthdate. These Guests will be set up to be managed by you.

To add an adult, there are two options. One allows you to add a Guest with their name and e-mail address (for people 18+). They will need to check their email to confirm the connection. If you are all together, you can use the "Scan their linking code" option. Your family members will follow the same steps to get to their profile. On the "My Profile" tab, there is an option to "Show My Linking Code." You can quickly scan and go. Easy, breezy!

The app will know you are all connected and the plans you share. When trying for a Virtual Queue, you will want one person managing to create a boarding group with your entire party. One person can also select and manage Genie+ for Lightning Lane selections to keep your return times together.

Did you know if you purchase PhotoPass service, the family you are connected to on the My Disney Experience App can all share photos and downloads? Only one person needs this service for you all (up to 25 people) to enjoy the moments you capture with a PhotoPass photographer or the pictures taken on some attractions.

I am so excited about your surprise! Please come back to planDisney with any other questions as you prepare for this magical adventure.

You've got a friend in me,
    Jana
