Hi. We are bringing our family (kids are boy (7), girl (6), and girl (4)) to Disney the third week in January this year. We are staying at the Art of Animation. I know they have pools, but are they heated or do people go swimming in the January month?

    Hi Deb!

Absolutely!  The main pool at each resort is heated.  You can even visit a water park, though one is usually closed in January due to refurbishment.  Visiting a water park in January can be a lot of fun because it is typically empty, especially when compared to the busy summer months.  Temperature in January can fluctuate wildly from day to day so keep that in mind; I definitely suggest packing clothes that can be worn in layers so that a layer can be added or subtracted throughout the day.  I have been there in January when you definitely needed a coat during the day and I have also been there when it was possible to walk around in shorts and flip flops!

Enjoy planning your magical Disney vacation, and please write back with more questions!
