We are bringing an extended family of 8 in November - a family of 4 (two parents, two kids), a family of 3 (one mom, two kids) and our mother. We guess that two guest rooms, joint, will be the best option. Is this true?

    Hi Loreal,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question! I’ve travelled to Walt Disney World Resort with a larger group of friends and family before and, with a bit of planning, you’re sure to have a wonderful and unforgettable time.

You have several options for your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel during your upcoming visit. The Room for 5 Guests or More page is a great place to start for your vacation inspiration. You can definitely request two connecting or adjoining rooms in the Resort Hotel of your choice BUT, while your Resort will make every effort to honour your request, the availability of connecting or adjoining rooms is not guaranteed. That being said, two rooms in a Value Resort Hotel would definitely be your most economical choice, albeit not one that would give your party a lot of room to spread out.

If you’re able to spurge a bit on your accommodations, I would definitely recommend a 2 Bedroom Villa at a Deluxe Villa Resort. When we’ve travelled with a large group, we’ve often stayed in one of those rooms (we’re Disney Vacation Club members), and we’ve always found them to be pretty amazing both in terms of space and amenities. From the full kitchen, the washer and dryer (a definite plus when travelling with little ones), we’ve found that we’re able to pack less and, more importantly, spend way less on food because we make breakfast and even some lunches at “home”.

Happy planning and please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
